DebtGo ("we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.

  • Debt names โ€” labels you assign to your debts (e.g., "Chase Visa")
  • Debt balances โ€” current amounts owed
  • Interest rates (APR) โ€” for payoff calculations
  • Minimum payments โ€” monthly payment amounts
  • Credit limits โ€” for credit utilization tracking (optional)
  • Payment history โ€” payments you log within the app
  • Debt categories โ€” type classifications (credit card, auto loan, etc.)

โš ๏ธ Important: We do NOT collect or store actual bank account numbers, credit card numbers, Social Security numbers, or login credentials to your financial institutions. All debt data is self-reported by you.

1.3 Usage & Analytics Data

  • Pages visited and features used
  • Session duration and interaction patterns
  • Device information โ€” browser type, operating system, screen size
  • IP address โ€” for security and approximate geographic location
  • Referral source โ€” how you found DebtGo

1.4 Payment Information (Subscribers)

  • Subscription status โ€” whether you have a paid plan
  • Payment processor data โ€” Stripe handles all payment processing. We receive confirmation of successful payments but do NOT store your credit card numbers, CVV, or full payment details.

We implement industry-standard security measures:

  • Encryption at rest โ€” data stored in Firebase is encrypted
  • Secure authentication โ€” Firebase Auth with optional Google Sign-In
  • Access controls โ€” limited access to production systems

No system is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security but take reasonable precautions to protect your data.

7. Data Retention

  • Active accounts โ€” data retained while your account is active
  • Deleted accounts โ€” data permanently deleted within 30 days of account deletion request
  • Analytics data โ€” aggregated, anonymized data may be retained indefinitely for service improvement

10. Children's Privacy

DebtGo is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn we have collected data from a child under 18, we will delete it promptly.

11. International Users

DebtGo is operated from the United States. If you access the service from outside the US, your data may be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from your jurisdiction.

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you of material changes by posting a notice on the website or sending an email. Continued use of DebtGo after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
